Collection: Alba: Sorelle de Nicola (Feyles)
Sorelle de Nicola (Feyles) was founded in 1964 by Maria Feyles and her son-in-law Antonio de Nicola. It is located at the south east corner of town of Alba, one of the few remaining wineries in the city (we only know two, the other being Pio Cesare)!
Production is small, 50,000 bottles per year. What is special about this traditionist winery is that despite being in his mid eighties now, Antonio de Nicola is still taking care of all of the estate's winemaking. He has been making wines here continuously for close to 60 years!
Winemaking at Feyles has always been the same and ultra traditionist. Long maceration, aging in Slavonian oak barrels of large capacity, and late release of the wines with bottle age.
