Collection: Champagne Jean Vesselle, Bouzy

At present there are less than 20 Champagne houses that are still able to produce an Oeil de Perdrix Champagne. Oeil de Perdrix Champagne is known for its fascinating pale salmon pink colour, creamy texture, and vibrant palate.

The Vesselle family has been making Champange at Bouzy for over 300 years. This Grand Cru Village is in the heart of Montagne de Reims, which is one of the most renowned villages for Pinot Noir in Champagne.

The signature cuvées are the Rosé. As a rather rare example in the Champagne region, where Rosé champagne is normally made by blending red and white wines, Jean Vesselle produces two different Rosé champagnes with the ancient method of “direct pressing” (Cuvée Oeil de Perdrix) and “maceration method / draw-off method” (Cuvée Rosé de Saignée).
