Located in the center of village of Ambonnay Grand Cru, the winery of Champagne Marguet is at one of the best locations in Champagne... it overlooks the vineyard of Krug's Clos d'Ambonnay! Founded in 1870, Champagne Marguet has been lead by fifth-generation Benoit Marguet since 2004. 

Benoit is considered by many sommeliers and wine lovers as a legend in Champagne. He is credited to be one of the first growers to convert his operation to biodynamic viticulture in 2009). Benoit is also a strong advocate of low dosage champagne with all the wines at this estate are Brut Nature.

Benoit uses barrel fermentation with no batonnage but a long ageing on lees. These are champagne characterized with density, precision and purity. It is rare to have champagne with such density but such clear definition and sense of place.
